Swallow Falls

A bit of early morning frost to start the day

Time to leave, this time at the cottage has really flown by, I know we were only here for basically 4 days, but even considering that I had been in Wales for 6 days (not including today), this whole week has flown by!

We got up around 06:30, had a shower, then breakfast, beans on toast (the last of our supplies). We then finished off our packing, loaded up the cars, and tided up the cottage. We left the cottage at around 10am, headed to Tesco in Bangor to fuel up our cars.

After filling up, we headed to Swallow Falls to take some photos. I love Swallow Falls, but I never seem to get the photos I want, but we tried anyway. I think we spent around an hour at the falls, then headed off to Llangollen.

As we were just about to exit a village called Llidiart-y-Parc, we saw the aftermath of an accident involving a Bus, a Range Rover and a Motorbike. The bus was pretty well smashed up at the front, and the motorcyclist was lying on the road next to the Range Rover, he looked to be seriously hurt. A man was directing traffic past the accident (when I got home, I checked on the internet, and the motorcyclist had been airlifted to hospital, and the road had been closed not long after we had gone through, for some hours).

When we arrived in Llangollen I turned right to go to Jessie’s and Andy continued his journey home. Once at Jessie’s, we all had some sarnies for Lunch, I then loaded up the car with Susie’s and the kids luggage. We set off for home at around 2pm, and arrived home at around 16:45, after visiting Susie’s mom.

All in all, it was a great week away (even if it did go too quickly), it was nice to spend time with Susie, the kids & Jessie for the 1st few days, and it was great to chillout and spend time with Andy for the rest of the week.
