Llangollen

The River Dee flowing through Llangollen.

The Old Railway Station off to the Right.

Up nice and early for breakfast at 09:30, which was lovely (me being a pig, would say there was not enough). After breakfast, we got ourselves sorted then walked round to Jessie’s. We then headed into Llangollen to a new (to us) small retail park which had a Home Bargains and an Aldi. We had a mooch around Home Bargains, then went into Llangollen centre for a quick look round. I wandered off to take some photos of the River Dee from the bridge, and of the old Railway Station. Then it was back to Jessie’s for lunch, which consisted of various sandwiches. We headed back round to the guest house, but then decided to walk up to Plas Newydd (a lovely house in lovely gardens), we didn’t have much time to have our normal wander around the gardens, as we needed to get back and get ready to go out in the evening.

Once ready, we drove round to Jessie’s to pick her up and head off to our favourite place to eat, The Britannia Inn Hotel, the meals are always lovely and there is always a warm welcome. On our way to The Britannia Inn, Jessie told me to take a detour, so she could quickly show us Horseshoe Falls and St Tysilio's Church, Llantysilio, saying that it might be a good place to go and take some photos. After our meal we took Jessie back home then went back to the guest house.
